About
Regioneo's SaaS solution is developed by the web agency BM Services. For over 20 years, our team has supported the digital transformation of artisans, shopkeepers and businesses.
Fighting waste, a social challenge
Nowadays, a large proportion of the food produced in France, Europe and around the world is lost or wasted every year. In Europe, approximately 89 million tonnes of food are lost and discarded annually, representing 20% of food production. This waste occurs at every stage: at the producer level, where some fruit or vegetables are not harvested (unattractive fruit and vegetables, overproduction, etc.); among intermediaries and during transport; and sometimes also among end consumers.
The estimated costs amount to €143 billion, affecting not only producers but also consumers and our environment, as resources (water, soil, energy) were used to produce them. It is now essential to rethink our food system to minimise food loss and move towards more sustainable solutions.
The SISTERS project within the Horizon 2020 programme
The Regioneo project is part of a wider project, the Project Sisters funded by the European Union under the Horizon 2020 call for projects. The Sisters project brings together 18 European stakeholders involved in the fight against food waste and aims to propose a series of innovations for a more sustainable approach to food production and distribution in Europe.

Founded in 2012 and based in Lozère, BM Services is a team of 20 professionals spread across various fields of expertise. Depending on the projects, we call upon the experience of the different teams to provide the necessary knowledge. This cross-functional organisation allows us to adapt to any type of digital development or communication challenge.
