Launched by the European Commission in 2018, the’Innovation Radar is a platform for identifying, guiding and promoting the best innovations from EU-funded projects. Developed by the Joint Research Centre, it is based on a strict method of analysis, combining assessment of market potential and the innovative nature of solutions.

One of Innovation Radar's strengths is that it provides the public with a huge database of funded innovations, while offering entrepreneurs expert advice throughout the development of their project.

Regioneo's selection and its impact

Being selected by Innovation Radar is a strategic step for our work at the crossroads of agritech and sustainable food. Regioneo is a key component of the SISTERS project, which aims to add value to products that have been excluded from traditional channels via a turnkey e-commerce platform.

The stakes are high: the’The European Union produces almost 89 million tonnes of food waste a year, at an estimated cost of 143 billion euros.. With Regioneo, growers can create attractive offers for products from their harvests, control prices and orders, and are developing their sales through short distribution channels.

Shortlisted for the 2025 Prize

Following its selection or application, Regioneo can take part in the Innovation Radar Prize 2025, which will be held on 10 November in Lisbon, in the AI Hub of the Beato Innovation District, co-organised with Dealflow.eu and Unicorn Factory Lisboa.

The prize will bring together innovations from three categories: AI, Hardware & Robotics, and Climate-Tech. It's a great opportunity to showcase our progress, talk to investors and decision-makers, and highlight our social and environmental impact.

A collective dynamic and prospects

This success is a collective one, since it relies on the partners in the SISTERS project, on BM Services, and the entire Regioneo ecosystem. Together, we're showing that innovation can be born and bred in the regions, to serve concrete objectives: eating better, wasting less, boosting the local economy.

Regioneo's inclusion in the Innovation Radar and our application for the Prix 2025 make us proud. This recognition confirms our ambition: to offer producers simple tools to sell better, reduce waste and create value locally.
