Now offering anti-waste baskets in Brittany and a number of other towns, the cooperative wants to grow and roll out its services throughout France.

Finisterestes launched a pre-launch campaign on 19 September 2024 with the aim of raising €1 million from private individuals.

At the origin of this cooperative is a group of passionate producers who, for instance, had their fruit and vegetables rejected by traditional distribution channels. In 2021, the decision was made to offer these rejected products to the general public by providing consumers with «anti-waste» baskets at various drop-off points across Brittany.

A first funding round with the support of Blast club has been completed and a partnership with La Poste is linked, allowing the cooperative to grow to achieve a cumulative turnover of €10 million in three years and employs 33 people.

These initial successes have prompted its founder, Karim Vincent-Viry, to go further and organise a new fundraising round in order to develop the business. A new fundraising round with traditional investors is nearing completion and the company is also turning towards consumers to collect between €500,000 and €1 million via a crowdfunding platform, LITA.co.

In the long term, Finisterestes hopes that the new funding round will allow it to create or secure nearly 60 jobs and save 10,000 tonnes of food products from waste through short supply chains.
